Motorcycle Ride to Old Town San Diego
posted: Friday, January 08, 2010
The club did a ride to Old Town San Diego last Thursday, January 7, 2010. There were nine people who made the ride.

We started out in Temecula, and took the I-15 to Valley Pkwy, and rode the Del Dios Hwy to I-5. Then took I-5 into Old Town San Diego. Lunch was had at Old Town Mexican Cafe.

After lunch, we rode over Coronado Bridge, and then down the Silver Strand. We took the I-5 to I-15 and exited Scripps Poway Pkwy. From there, we hit Hwy 67 and took that into Ramona, and then Highland Valley Rd to Hwy 78, and up Bear Valley Pkwy to Valley Center, and Lilac Rd to West Lilac Rd, to Old 395, and back into Temecula.

Had beers at Barley & Hops afterwards, and then finished up with some dinner at Hana Sushi in Temecula.

About Us

The HeatWave Riding Club is a motorcycle riding club whose members call Southern California their home. We're not a motorcycle club, but a riding club focused on the enjoyment of riding motorcycles and the continued improvement of riding skills and techniques.

Our goal is to promote the pasttime of motorcycle riding, racking up lots of miles, seeing lots of countryside, and getting the most out of the enjoyment of riding.

If anything makes the HeatWave different from other riding clubs is that we try to put more emphasis on the "club" aspect of being a riding club. We're all about the riding, but limit our membership to those who see eye to eye with our unique philosophy of motorcycle riding.

If you're a rider that just loves to ride, and ride, and ride... and you'd like to share that passion with others, hook up with us and see if our group is what you're looking for.
