Cleveland Forest Road by Motorcycle (July 18)

The club did a ride today heading up to the Santa Rosa Plateau, through the community of Tenaja, and down along Cleveland Forest Rd (So. Main Divide Road), through the canyons and mountains above Lake Elsinore. Eventually coming out into Ortega Hwy, and stopping at Hells Kitchen for a break.
Then it was on to Dana Point for lunch at Hennessey's Tavern, before returning home.
Air temperature was in the 100's, but the wind temperature while riding was probably up around 120's. A really hot ride...

The club's "Thursday Ride" left Temecula through De Luz Rd, and up to the Santa Rosa Plateau, and down into Murrieta, heading out to Menace Motorsports in Lake Elsinore for lunch...

Ride to Mt Palomar & Beer

Yesterday, Stelis and MikeMo took a ride up and down Mt Palomar, then cruising over Mesa Grande, into Santa Ysabel.
Then headed down Hwy 78, with a side trip over the Old Julian Hwy, finally reaching Ramona, with burgers at the Ramona Cafe.
Then they followed Highland Valley Rd all the way out to the I-15, and cruised up to the Stone Brewing Co., to try out their new 13th Anniversary Ale.
On the way back home, took Circle R Rd, to West Lilac Rd, to Lilac Rd, to Couser Canyon Rd, to Rice Canyon Rd, and finally back into Temecula.
A really warm day, lots of twisties, cool up on the mountain, and cool sitting at the bar...

Ride to Shakespeare's Pub San Diego

The club scheduled a Thursday ride to Shakespeare's Pub in San Diego, today. Shakespeare's Pub is known for it's awesome fish & chips, English brews, and great views of the city skyline.
On the way back home, the route went up the coast, and back inland along Ortega Hwy, with a stop at Hells Kitchen.

The club took a ride to Pizza Port in Solana Beach for some lunch and beer last Saturday, July 4, 2009. Then finished up with a ride up the coast, over Ortega Hwy, and stopping at Hells Kitchen...

The HeatWave Riding Club is a motorcycle riding club whose members call Southern California their home. We're not a motorcycle club, but a riding club focused on the enjoyment of riding motorcycles and the continued improvement of riding skills and techniques.
Our goal is to promote the pasttime of motorcycle riding, racking up lots of miles, seeing lots of countryside, and getting the most out of the enjoyment of riding.
If anything makes the HeatWave different from other riding clubs is that we try to put more emphasis on the "club" aspect of being a riding club. We're all about the riding, but limit our membership to those who see eye to eye with our unique philosophy of motorcycle riding.
If you're a rider that just loves to ride, and ride, and ride... and you'd like to share that passion with others, hook up with us and see if our group is what you're looking for.
