Pauma Store & Tavern

posted: Monday, November 17, 2008
Rick Kearns, the owner of Scotty's Hot Dogs, invited us out to his hot dog stand along Highway 76 in the Pauma Valley to take a tour of Pauma Store & Tavern, back on November 11.
Pauma Store dates back to 1860 when it was first built as a military outpost. It was later converted into a bar, and according to Rick was the first establishment in California to receive a liquor license.
The current owners took it over about a year ago, and are trying to market it as a biker hangout.
They serve cold beer, sodas, and iced tea, and Scotty's Hot Dogs (which is next door), serve up the food, at really cheap prices.
Visit Pauma Store and Tavern along Highway 76, about 4.1 miles east of Pala Casino, and about 1/2 mile west of Pauma Casino.

| About Us |
|
The HeatWave Riding Club is a motorcycle riding club whose members call Southern California their home. We're not a motorcycle club, but a riding club focused on the enjoyment of riding motorcycles and the continued improvement of riding skills and techniques.
Our goal is to promote the pasttime of motorcycle riding, racking up lots of miles, seeing lots of countryside, and getting the most out of the enjoyment of riding.
If anything makes the HeatWave different from other riding clubs is that we try to put more emphasis on the "club" aspect of being a riding club. We're all about the riding, but limit our membership to those who see eye to eye with our unique philosophy of motorcycle riding.
If you're a rider that just loves to ride, and ride, and ride... and you'd like to share that passion with others, hook up with us and see if our group is what you're looking for.
